A top ranking manufacturer in the Jogging Stroller industry is Baby Trend. They have been providing quality jogging strollers for some years now. Looking to build on their success, they have come up with another stroller, the Baby Trend Vanilla Bean Expedition LX Jogging Stroller.
The Baby Trend Vanilla Bean Expedition LX Jogging Stroller is a stroller that has a 12 inch front and 16 inch rear all terrain tires. The front wheel is that of the swivel wheel type that helps make it easy to turn or maneuver in tight places. The wheel base is also made to be extra wide to offer additional stability while going through rough or uneven pavements.
All of those features mentioned are actually pretty standard for most jogging strollers. However, what separates the Baby Trend Vanilla Bean Expedition LX Jogging Stroller from others is that it is easily capable of transforming into a complete travel system. This is because the Baby Trend Expedition uses the vanilla bean system which allows compatible car seats to fit into the stroller.

I like the fact that I would not have to save storage space for two different devices (a car seat and the stroller) and instead just use the compatible vanilla bean. It helps reduce clutter, and makes it easier to store and take the stroller during family road trips.

Another thing that I consider a plus for the Baby Trend Vanilla Bean Expedition LX Jogging Stroller is that it is quite easy to maneuver and turn. The swivel wheel really does its job in making this jogging stroller very easy to handle.

Lastly, but probably not as important, is that the Baby Trend Vanilla Bean Expedition LX Jogging Stroller looks quite good. The aesthetics of this jogging stroller is certainly eye-catching and truly stands out when compared with other models.
Things that It could improve upon:
The Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogging Stroller is far from perfect. There are a couple of things that I wished that they have improved upon in the design to make it much better:
- Wobbly for Fast Paced Jogging
One of the things that I don’t like about the Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogging Stroller is that it tends to wobble or be unstable when you start increasing your pace while jogging. This is a common occurrence for jogging strollers that utilize a swivel wheel. Even if you set the swivel option to lock, there still tends to be some minor wiggle that happens.
- Wheel issues
The Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogging Stroller also has some issues when it comes to its front wheel. The first is that the front wheel has no buffer between the rim and the tube. This caused the tube to eventually pop and replacing it can be a chore.
Another issue with the wheel is that there had been reports where the front wheel would lock up and lean towards a certain side, making it difficult to go straight. While this can easily be remedied with a few fixes and some replacement part, it is still frustrating when it happens.

If you take your strollers on the road often, and are not really looking to push the pace when you are using the jogging strollers, then the Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogging Stroller is a great fit for you. However, if you are looking for a more durable, and a tougher stroller, then you may want to search the market for other options.
