Jogging Stroller Safety Features

To ease the minds of parents where safety is concerned, we would like to explain some of the safety features of jogging strollers. We want parents to know that jogging strollers are safety tested in many different ways, and come loaded with features that are designed to keep your little one safe while you exercise!
Safety Harness:
The safety Harness is the set of straps that acts as the primary safety feature against your child being thrown out of the carriage. While they may seem simple, there is actually a complex structure to ensure the balance between comfort and safety for your child.
There are usually two variants for these safety harnesses. Some jogging strollers have the “3 point harness”. The 3 point harness is has two straps that come together over a child’s hips or stomach, and a third strap that comes up between the child’s legs. There are also some jogging strollers that have the “5 point harness”. While similar to the 3 point harness, the 5 point harness has an additional strap over each shoulder that secures the child.
Hand brakes:
There are now jogging strollers that have hand brakes that enable you to slow down and stop your stroller without having to strenuously drag or pull it back while you are jogging. The good thing with a hand brake is that it is able to give you controlled stopping which lessens the risk of your child being thrown forward because of your momentum and the sudden stop.
Safety Wrist tethers:
Another innovation in jogging strollers is the introduction of safety wrist tethers. These tethers have one end attached to the stroller while the other end is attached in a comfortable manner to your wrist.
These are made so that the stroller would not be able to get away from you. It help prevent instances where you push the jogging stroller a little too strong and will not be able to keep up with it.
