The Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy With Doubles Kit boasts of the following improved features:
- Ratcheting, adjustable ergonomic handle
- Velcro multi adjustable crotch strap
- Zipper Recline on doubles kit.
- Solid Axle.
- Quick release one touch hub wheels.
- Higher and easier to remove front bar
- Lower Toddler seat holds child up to 33 pounds.
- Toddler seat on top holds child up to 44 pounds.
- Main stroller seat holds child up to 55 pounds.
But are these new and improved features enough to make the Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy with Doubles Kit a recommended purchase?
What I like about the stroller:
- Quality of materials used
I think that the entire Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy with Doubles Kit uses high quality materials. The fabrics used to line the stroller are thick and strong and have good stitching.
The zippers, buttons, and hooks, aside from being durable, are all positioned in the proper places ensuring that they would not pose a safety hazard to the children in the stroller.
The frame of the stroller seems very sturdy too, giving you that feeling of safety when pushing the Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy with Doubles Kit.
- Storage space
The Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy with Doubles Kit offers a large underneath storage space that would help when you try to take everything that you need.
Things that it could improve on:
- Short handlebar
The handlebar of the Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy with Doubles Kit does not have a telescoping feature, which means that you can’t adjust it backward.
This becomes a frustration as it makes the handlebar hit the doubles seat when you set the Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy with Doubles Kit into the 2-toddler position.
- Cumbersome Weight
The Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy with Doubles Kit is a heavy stroller. It makes it difficult for moving in and out of the trunk of the car or the van.
This problem is magnified when you are using the doubles kit. I wish it could have been lighter so that it would be more convenient for us to take during our trips.
Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a stroller that can easily transform into a double when the need arises, then the Phil and Ted’s Version 2 Sport Buggy with Doubles Kit is perfect for you. Conversely, if you already have 2 kids and is planning to have another one in the future, then this is a great investment.
