Jogging Strollers usually have 8”, 12”, or in some cases 16” wheels attached to them. Apparently, these sizes are not enough to handle the toughest ground or the fastest or more dedicated joggers. That’s why Schwinn has made the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller.

What separates the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller from other strollers is that it has 20” alloy rear wheels with alloy hubs and stainless spokes. This was made so that dedicated runners would be able to traverse all kinds of terrain without any hitches.
Other features that come with the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller include:
- Protective canopy with zip in weather shield
- Aluminum frame and reclining seat
- 5-point harness
- Easy, flat folding design
- Alloy handbrake and tether
- Child head supports
- Rear suspension
- Smooth rolling tires
- Adjustable handle for comfort
- Under seat storage basket
- Behind seat storage
- Quick release wheels
- Padded push bar
- Canopy viewing window
- Mesh venting in rear
- Integrated seat pad
Read on to see if the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller is able to really provide what the hardcore joggers need in their jogging strollers.
What I like about this product:
- 20 inch rear wheels
The 20 inch rear wheels that the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller uses are as good as advertised. I was able to increase my jogging pace without worrying that the stroller would go out of control.
The 20 inch wheels also give off that feeling of heft and toughness that would be able to withstand passing through some rough terrain.
- Large Canopy
I like the canopy that the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller uses. It is large enough to provide adequate shade for the baby inside the stroller.
It even has a zip in shield that really protects the kid from the elements such as rain or strong winds.
- Multiple pockets
The Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller has plenty of storage areas. This is important for parents who have finicky babies who want to have everything with them.
Another good thing about the pocket system of the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller is that they are removable. This is great for joggers who really want to check their paces.
What could be improved in the product:
- Control
For going through straight directions, the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller performs well. However, turning and steering becomes quite difficult.
The front locked wheel is not as easy to steer as compared with the swivel wheel that other strollers provide.
You would really need to exert some effort into learning how to steer this kind of jogging stroller.
- Storage
The stroller is quite long and large, making storage an issue.
I would have wished for a better and more compact style so that I would not have too much trouble when I am not using the stroller.
As it stands now, the stroller takes up a big chunk of our garage space. I also would have to take off the wheels in order for me to stick it in the car trunk.
Bottom Line:
If you are an avid runner or jogger, then you would really like the benefits provided by the Schwinn Joyrider Jogging Stroller. It is top class when it comes to passing through the most difficult terrains thanks to its 20” rear wheels.
However, for more regular use, such as strolling through malls or parks, the front locked wheel could become an issue. For this purposes, you may want to have another stroller that can provide you with a swivel front wheel.
